Survival

Meet Rosie the tarantula and discover the extraordinary adaptations that have allowed arthropods to thrive for hundreds of millions of years.

Up Close with Animal Ambassadors

Butterfly Pavilion's animal care team works daily to ensure every creature in the Survival exhibit receives expert husbandry. Many of our arthropods serve as animal ambassadors, appearing in educational programs and Creature Feature encounters throughout the day.

Our interpretive specialists are passionate about changing the way people think about spiders, insects, and other invertebrates. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a long-time arachnid enthusiast, there is always something new to discover in Survival.
